Never give up...never surrender.
Galaxy Quest

New Works

As a writer I stand at a crossroads. Unfortunately, unlike Robert Frost, before me diverge more than two roads. Where do these roads lead? Where will they take me? Each beckons...initially showing an easy path. But further on, perhaps as soon as around the first bend--or perhaps after leagues upon leagues have been trod--the road disappears, becomes blocked by seemingly impassible boulders, or curls back in sharp hairpin curves.

I know these paths lead to new ideas, new characters and new tales to tell. I’ve taken the challenge of many roads. My steps may be sure or they may be tentative. But each leads me closer to--the stories of my future.

A few of the myriad paths have roughly carved signposts, directions and plans. Here are a few trails I’ve discovered.

Children of the Triad

Not just one tale, but many branch from this pathway. The Zeroun family has expanded, the children have grown. Now, inspired by the love of their parents, each searches for the mate who will bring the colors of soulfire to their lives. A shapeshifter from a parallel world? A Djinn? The one loved since childhood? Many tales of fantasy and love are still to be found under the Double Triad.

Starway to Paradise

Travel to the stars where abolitionists fight the growing business of slavery, a galaxy’s rule has fallen into the hands of a scheming lesser cousin, and Lovina and Rocc have incurred the anger of both the new ruler and the master slaver. As Rocc struggles to control his berzerking and his passion for Lovina, she believes she holds a cure for both.

This Time in Brigadoon

The ultimate time travel--Talon, son of George and Weena from The Time Machine discovers the village of Brigadoon and Tommy and Fiona’s daughter, Bonnie. But what is the more pressing danger to their love--Morlocks? Witches? Or a resident of the tiny hamlet?

DreamSong Series

Contemporary tales of love, connected through a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Ring of Fire

Actress Kate Guenevere returns to the remembered calmness of her hometown. Matthew, the lover she’d left years before, still has the power to disrupt her world and ignite her passions. But does he want to? After all, she left him with no explanation, only a good-bye note left on the kitchen table.

Toccata and Fugue

The cello is Jeffrey’s fame, both as a classical cellist and in the world of cello rock. He’s content, until a sham wedding at a theatrical event places a fascinating woman before him for a few, brief moments. Sapphire is drawn to Jeffrey as well, but the surfacing memories of her childhood tell her she is undeserving--of any love.
